Arsenal Technical Foundation 3:

Arsenal Technical Foundation 3 (ATF3) is a rapid website deployment platform designed for advertising agencies, or any other shop that needs to quickly build functionally error-free websites.

A web-based software application written in PHP using mySQL as the database, it is used to dynamically update content on one or more websites in a simple manner, track user behavior, and personalize each user's experience at a website.  ATF3 is straightforward to implement ó drastically cutting development time.  The code is tested, secure, solid, fast and able to support highly trafficked websites.

It is the behind the scenes engine for web sites promoting some of the world's most well know brands including Beefeater, Chivas Regal, Stoli, Kahlua, Malibu, and the New York Jets.

The code base was designed and built over multiple man-years to give Interactive Arsenal a significant competitive advantage in the web development space.  As of the last update to this document, over 24 websites are powered by ATF3.

Design work started after extensive research by the company's CTO, who found website "technology back bones" fell into two broad categories:
  1. Complexly featured, six-figure solutions
  2. Free, open-source projects

While each category tends to have its own particular set of advantages and disadvantages, there was no single solution in the marketplace that addressed all of the (what Interactive Arsenal feels are the most compelling) back-end requirements for a website build.

ATF3 consists of the following major components:
  • Content Management
  • Personalization
  • Complete Audit Trail
  • Universal Undo and Redo
  • Developer Tool Kit
  • Self Monitoring Code
  • Scalability (easily accommodates a large number of users)
  • Time Travel (review future content within the production site)
  • Metrics (executed on the server side for greater accuracy)
  • Mobile Device Support
  • Magic Buttons (allows an admin to edit content within the page of a live site)
  • XML support
  • Advanced Content Caching
  • Extranet functionality
  • Intranet functionality

ATF3's Functional Goal:

Simply stated, the purpose of ATF3 is to make the developer's life easier.  This is done by providing a reusable code base that is:
  • Reliable
  • Easy to use
  • Easy to debug
  • Flexible
  • Feature rich

This is also done by providing a series of administrative tools that enable non-technical staff to intuitively and safely manage a website.

Basically, the developers at Interactive Arsenal came up with a clever way to partially outsource to other departments (and to the client) the development and management of websites.

ATF3 / Extranet

Interactive Arsenalís latest product, ATF3 / Extranet is an elegant web-based solution that allows your organization to use the web to communicate and collaborate immediately with people at work, telecommuting around the world through ANY Internet browser.

A simple administrative tool allows a user with proper security privileges to control the secure content and documents of three completely different portals - Public Website, Company Intranet, and Client Extranet -- all hosted on the same web server.
